Originally published in 1698, the most popular version of Rapunzel was written by the Brothers Grimm in 1812, and featured a young maid locked high in a tower by an evil witch named Gothel. For years Rapunzel lived a prisoner, her beautiful blonde hair growing to over 70 feet which Gothel climbed in order to visit her. Now finally freed from her prison
