Beautiful Princess

A tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast was published in 1740 by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve. This fairy tale reminds us that not all things are as they seem.

 

In a far away kingdom a young Prince who is spoiled and unkind, is placed under a terrible curse, to remain a beast forever unless he can win the heart of a young maiden. When Belle's father becomes indepted to this mysterious "Beast", she offers to exchange her life for his. The beast agrees, keeping Belle as his prisoner in the hopes that one day she will grow to love him and free him of his curse.
